5 Unique Looks, 1 Simple Necklace
What’s better than five pieces of jewelry?
One piece of jewelry that can be worn five different ways, of course!
Pair it with your trusty little black dress, or your favorite pair of jeans and a plain white T-shirt. Our Transformation Jewelry is the perfect piece to elevate an otherwise ordinary outfit.
Our partners at TARA Projects in India have come up with an elegant way to combine five distinct looks into one piece of jewelry, while also reducing waste produced by the fashion industry.
The artisans of Lok Kala Kriti Samooh workshop in South Delhi make the vibrant beads on this piece by hand, using sustainable mango wood and discarded sari fabric. After sari fabric remnants are purchased from the local market, they are washed and ironed and cut into tiny strips.
Those strips are then given new life by carefully winding them around tiny pieces of wood and stringing them alongside metal beads.
A long strand is formed, and then paired with a sari ribbon, to make a piece of jewelry that can be worn five different ways.
This versatile piece is a unique addition to your current lineup of accessories, perfect for the person who is always traveling, or a great gift idea for your minimalist friend who is trying out a capsule wardrobe.
Here are the 5 ways to wear the Transformation Jewelry:
Long & Lean
The easiest way to wear this piece! Remove the beaded strand from the ribbon and simply wear as a long necklace.
Bangles
Throw yourself an arm party! Get the look of stacked bangles by wrapping the beaded strand around your wrist.
Double Loop
Effortlessly give yourself a layered look by looping the necklace around your neck twice.
Ribbon Bracelet
Simple and straight forward, this is an easy way to add a casual pop of color to your arm. Disconnect the ribbon, then connect both ends to the metal ring with the snaps.
The Whole Package
Loop the necklace strand through both ends of the ribbon and snap it securely into place.
