From the farmer's market to beach days, this basket tote features an intricate medallion design that is as beautiful out-and-about as it is hanging ready-to-go in your entryway. Locally-grown palm leaves are sun-dried, then handwoven by artisans of Rishilpi in rural Bangladesh. Leather straps are vegetable-tanned and securely sewn to ensure many happy trips to the grocery store and around town.

My 2nd! Using as Rear Bicycle Basket

I bought this exact basket years (decades?) ago when there was a store in Knoxville. My rear bike rack has a spring-loaded holder that keeps the basket securely on the rack when i bicycle. When I arrive I pull out the straps and sling it over my shoulder to carry my lunch, books, purse. Voila! My only mistake was leaving it on my bike b/t uses overnight, always under the pressure of the spring which then collapsed the basket over the years (though still usable on bike when full or as shopping basket). I will treat my new one more gently. Amazing capacity. Nice long straps. Lasts!
